With turbulent oceans of emerald cream,
Vanilla white, willow lined beaches,
Silver starlings singing
In heliotrope peppered coral coves,
Frilled lavender geckoes
With tiger faces
Dancing in the hyacinth breeze.
Come, sodium night,
Voices washed in milky starlight.
Sweep away the snowy window
With your hands.
My darling,
I am there with you.

OK, that is bright as hell. Is that you?!
Now this one I don't recognize. Song lyric or poem? Author?
I love your analogy with the use of color.
Mailyn,
Oui. C'est moi.
Steamy,
Poem.
Rebecca Lu Kiernan (my favourite).
Well spotted again : the use of colour is intentional.

OK, I though your camera had some color issue. LOL. Mine did that for a while. The pics would come out red. Ugh.
Irish author....I will be checking her out.
stop trying to dazzle me Merlin... I'm almost halfblind anyway. :p
Steamy,
I think she's American and definitely oriental originally - probably married to an Irishman.
Do check her out. She's very hard to find (nothing much published) but some of her stuff is really beautiful (and sexy).
Mailyn/Crashdummie,
Yeh ....sorry. Every now and then I get an urge to play with the software (you know what I mean ?)
Besides that it was a really hot day when that photo was taken so I was being all "artistic" and trying to convey the image of searing heat.

The poem is like a skat or a bee-bop jazz piece. What a great little piece. I will read more poems by Kiernan, thanks.
actually, i dont...
and somehow I'm thankful for that.
Ignorance is a bliss, innit?
Cheers mate!
crashdummie,
Consider yourself fortunate.
Ruby makes life easier.
I now have the first three lines and the last three lines (I think).
All I need are the middle three lines.
On it's way.

You have now won an award. Can't you feel the love? :-P
Mailyn,
Thank-you : I will wear it with pride.
All I feel today is very, very tired (and maybe a little love as well).
